Terms of Use

Conditions for using SitePulse Labs articles, downloads, external references, and the live WordPress Speed Test.

Last updated: August 7, 2026

These Terms of Use apply when you access SitePulse Labs, read its publications, use downloads, follow external links, or use the WordPress Speed Test. By using the website, you agree to use it lawfully and consistently with these terms.

Website purpose

SitePulse Labs publishes general educational information about WordPress performance, hosting, Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, security, diagnostic tools, and related experiments. Nothing on the website is personalised legal, financial, cybersecurity, hosting, search-engine, or other professional advice.

Your responsibility for technical changes

You remain responsible for changes made to any website, server, account, plugin, theme, database, DNS configuration, or third-party service. Before a meaningful change, create and verify an appropriate backup, document the current configuration, and test on a staging environment where practical. Obtain qualified help for high-risk, legal, security-critical, or business-critical work.

No guarantee of results

SitePulse Labs does not guarantee a particular performance score, Core Web Vitals result, search ranking, uptime level, security outcome, revenue result, or compatibility result. Outcomes vary with hosting resources, cache state, location, device, network, theme, plugins, traffic, third-party services, test method, and implementation quality.

Accuracy and changing information

We make a good-faith effort to publish accurate and clearly sourced information. WordPress, plugins, themes, browsers, hosting platforms, APIs, prices, policies, and interfaces change. Check current provider documentation before relying on a time-sensitive detail and report suspected errors through the Contact page.

WordPress Speed Test

The live WordPress Speed Test sends the public URL you submit to the Google PageSpeed Insights API. Google requests and analyses the page using the selected mobile or desktop strategy and returns diagnostic data. SitePulse Labs may cache results temporarily to reduce unnecessary repeat API requests.

A speed test is a time-specific diagnostic snapshot, not a warranty. Results may vary because of server load, caching, network conditions, third-party scripts, available field data, API behaviour, and other factors. Tool output does not guarantee real-user experience, search ranking, uptime, or a business outcome.

Permission to submit a URL

Submit only a website or page that you own or are authorised to test. Do not submit private administration pages, credential-bearing or tokenised URLs, access-restricted resources, malicious targets, or a URL whose testing would violate a contract, policy, law, or another person’s rights.

Prohibited misuse

You must not attempt unauthorised access; attack, disrupt, or overload the website or tool; bypass access controls or rate limits; submit malicious code or deceptive requests; scrape or republish substantial content contrary to these terms; or use the website unlawfully. Responsible search-engine indexing, accessibility tools, feed readers, and expressly authorised automation are not intended to be prohibited.

Intellectual property and permitted use

Unless stated otherwise, SitePulse Labs owns or lawfully uses the original text, branding, layout elements, and illustrations published on the website to the extent protected by law. Third-party names, marks, quotations, screenshots, documentation, and linked resources remain subject to their owners’ rights.

You may link to SitePulse Labs and quote brief excerpts with clear attribution where permitted by law. Copying, translating, republishing, reselling, systematically extracting, or redistributing a substantial part of the website requires prior permission unless a legal exception applies.

Downloads

Review any download before use, maintain a backup, and confirm compatibility with your environment. Unless a separate licence says otherwise, downloading a file does not grant permission to republish, redistribute, or sell it.

External links and third-party services

The website may link to official documentation, software projects, products, or other resources. SitePulse Labs does not control an external website’s availability, accuracy, security, pricing, terms, or privacy practices. A link does not by itself constitute an endorsement, and your use of a third-party service is governed by that provider’s agreement.

Advertising, affiliates, and sponsorships

Display advertising, affiliate links, and sponsored content are not currently active. If introduced, they will be handled under the applicable Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Affiliate Disclosure, and Editorial Policy. An advertisement or commercial relationship will not by itself represent an editorial endorsement.

Website availability and disclaimers

The website and its content are provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, SitePulse Labs gives no warranty that access will be uninterrupted, error-free, continuously secure, complete, current in every circumstance, or compatible with every system. Nothing excludes a right or warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, SitePulse Labs will not be responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on general content, tool output, inability to access the website, or changes made to a visitor’s systems. This does not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Restriction of access

SitePulse Labs may restrict activity associated with abusive, malicious, unlawful, or technically harmful use, including attempts to attack the website or evade reasonable limits.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the publication, tools, providers, or applicable requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Questions can be sent to sitepulselabs@gmail.com.
